Established by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) we provide a range of important services and are proud to support our partners to deliver better care.

As a limited company we have built a commercial ethos onto our NHS values and now provide our services to other NHS organisations and beyond.

What we do

We provide an increasing range of support services:

Estates Services – including maintenance of buildings, grounds and gardens, management of capital projects, energy and utilities and waste management.

Facilities and Property Services – including domestic services, portering, laundry and linen, patient and staff catering, switchboard and reception services, security, car park management, and management of a property portfolio including two PFI hospitals

Corporate Support Services – including workforce services, procurement services and a range of financial transactions services.

Specialist Services – a varied portfolio of services including staff vehicle leasing scheme and staff benefits, digital transcription, legal and commercial services and outpatient pharmacy.

Consultancy and Framework Management Services – management of frameworks that the Trust hosts and the provision of consultancy services to other organisations in relation to all our services.


Estates Services

Offering expertise across all aspects of designing, managing and operating buildings and estate. For both conventional and specialist environments and for a wide range of patient and staff needs, our teams are highly motivated with experience to provide best value and skills to support your needs.

Facilities and Property Services

Our facilities teams team co-ordinate and operate a diverse range of functions, including domestics and cleaning, portering, laundry and linen, patient and staff catering, switchboard services, security and car park management, as well as management of a property portfolio including two PFI hospitals.

Capital Team

The capital services team offer a complete project management solution to both small works and major construction schemes. Working productively alongside all stakeholders the team has developed a proven track record from inception to completion including a structured and supported soft landings approach of delivering high-end project outcomes.

Car Leasing

Providing a first class service for car leasing. We provide cars on short or longer term lease arrangements to meet individual needs and enable a “one stop shop” from quotation stage onwards. Competitive rates, limitless vehicle options and our great staff make our car leasing service unparalleled.

Digital Dictation

The Digital Dictation Service offers a rapid turnaround time to its users, where accuracy and data security standards are of paramount importance. Based completely in the UK and within a company wholly owned by an NHS Foundation Trust, you can be assured of the highest standards and service.

Outpatient Pharmacy

Our outpatient pharmacy dispensing service is provided by a dedicated Superintendent Pharmacist and a team of pharmacy staff working to rigorous statutory and professional standards. Our state of the art robot has the capacity and capability to dispense more accurately and quickly than traditional manual methods


The Workforce team provide high quality services across Recruitment, ESR (Electronic Staff Records) and AFC (Agenda for Change) speciality areas. Key service objectives include ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment journey, dealing with pay affecting employee issues, and providing the assurance required in banding job descriptions in line with national protocols.


The Finance department’s main area of focus is to support the Organisation and Group’s integral functions by processing, paying and issuing invoices at the right time to ensure that there is no delay to any of the goods and services procured by our stakeholders, enabling the provision of the best patient care service possible. NTW Solutions provide a comprehensive Finance service that includes Transactional Finance, Accountancy & Salary Sacrifice and Patients Finance & Cashiers


Procurement’s prime focus is to ensure that goods and services necessary for business operation are acquired in the right quantities at the right time and at the right price. Patient care depends on the assured availability of high quality products, consumables and services. NTW Solutions provide full end to end Procurement support covering Strategic Contracting, Operational Procurement, Materials Management.
